Affiliate & advertising disclosure

How Digital Property Marketing is funded, and what that means for you.

In short: this site is free to read. We pay for it through affiliate commissions and display advertising. Neither affects what we recommend.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a product or sign up for a service, we may earn a commission from the company concerned. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, and in some cases our links come with a discount.

We only link to products and services we think are worth considering. We regularly recommend tools we don’t earn anything from, and we’ll point out the drawbacks of products we do earn from.

Display advertising

We show adverts on some pages, supplied by third-party advertising networks. We don’t choose the individual adverts you see, and their appearance on our site isn’t an endorsement. Advertising partners may use cookies to show you more relevant adverts; see our privacy policy for how to manage this.

Sponsored content

From time to time we may work with brands on sponsored articles. These will always be clearly marked as sponsored at the top of the page. Sponsors don’t get to approve our opinions or conclusions.

Our editorial independence

Commercial relationships never decide which products we rank, review or recommend. Our editorial policy explains how we keep our content independent.

Regulations we follow

We aim to meet the US Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials, and the UK Advertising Standards Authority and Competition and Markets Authority guidance on labelling advertising and affiliate content.
