For visitors in the UK and European Economic Area, our legal bases are your consent (for non-essential cookies and the newsletter), our legitimate interests (running, securing and improving the site, and answering enquiries) and legal obligations where they apply.
Advertising and affiliate partners
We work with third-party advertising networks and affiliate programmes. These partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to show adverts based on your interests and to record when a purchase follows a click from our site. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your cookie settings on this site, your browser settings, or industry tools such as optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com.
Sharing your information
We don’t sell your personal information for money. We share data only with service providers who help us run the site, such as our web host, email provider, analytics and advertising partners, and only as far as they need it to provide their service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the tools we use.
Your rights
UK and EEA visitors
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK, that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it’s used, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, which can include some advertising cookies. You won’t be treated differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, email us with the subject line “Privacy request”.

This site is intended for adults working in or with the property industry. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No website can guarantee complete security, however.
